I always see this place in Vigan. In fact, almost everyday. It’s one of the last remaining rice fields (or farms) in Vigan that is adjacent to the poblacion. As I went home passing by the road where this view can be seen, I can’t help but stop my motorbike and capture this beautiful view of the fields and the mountain.
These photos were taken a few days after typhoon Mario. The fields were not devastated. The crops bloomed. This is in Brgy Tamag which is adjacent to Brgy VIII (a poblacion barangay).
One reason why I also took this photo is because anytime, this piece of land can morph into a commercial area like what is happening to the nearby lots. At least, these photos can attest that this is a beautiful place when modernity and commercialism would have been taking place.
